SGHS wins the 2017 ENTHUSE Award for STEM Secondary School of the Year
The last few weeks have been very nerve wracking for the girls who applied for medicine at university, as offers and rejections have started to come through.
The process began back in September where, with the help of many staff members, we submitted our UCAS applications. This was closely followed by several different forms of interview preparation. We each had an individual practice interview and all had a go at a circuit of multiple mini interviews (the most common form of medical school interview) alongside the applicants from Ermysteds Grammar. Then came a session, led by Mrs McMillan, discussing the most challenging questions asked and how best to present yourself at interview, which allowed us to realise areas of our knowledge and interview technique that needed improvement.
