Governance: Become a Partnership Member

We are recruiting Members of our new Community Hub Partnerships to pioneer an innovative new model of school governance. Our new Partnerships will champion the voice of children, young people and families so that the perspectives of those most affected by education influence the way it is designed and delivered.

These are brand new governance bodies with a new remit.  Partnership members will commission independent surveys, convene pupil and parent groups and gather evidence-based insights into school life, supported by expert governance professionals.  Meeting formally three times a year, the work of the Partnership is highly strategic, helping ensure that decision-making is grounded in the real-life experiences of our school communities.

We are recruiting to four Partnerships, each covering a distinct geographical area in North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire, covering a number of Northern Star Academies each.

You must be aged at least 18.  You do not need any specific qualifications. We are keen to appoint people who have a blend of skills and experiences that enables them understand the community and contribute to strategic decision-making.

A determination to deliver the best for children and a commitment to work constructively with the Partnership s paramount.
