NSAT Farm Twinning Expands to Reach More Children

The NSAT Farm Twinning programme has delivered more than 390 educational visits since 2022, giving thousands of children hands-on outdoor learning experiences in Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales.
With £125,000 in new DEFRA funding secured for 2025–26, the programme is set to expand further—providing 148 farm trips and 12 traditional craft sessions. This investment means an additional 2,175 children will benefit, ensuring equitable access to nature, farming, and heritage activities while building strong partnerships with landowners and protected landscapes.
