About the Roles

These roles reflect strategic development within Northern Star Academies Trust to develop specialist provision within our mainstream schools to meet the needs of children with additional needs. The new provisions are funded by local authorities, who will also allocate places. [In Bradford local authority area these are known as "Resourced Provisions" (RPs), whilst in North Yorkshire local authority area, they are known as "Targeted Maintained Provisions" (TMPs)].

As a Trust we already operate Resourced Provisions at Denholme and Park Wood Primary Schools.  In addition to the locations where we are recruiting now, in the next phase of this development we intend to develop provisions at Hookstone Chase Primary School (Harrogate), Harrogate High School and Greatwood Primary School (Skipton).

You can apply now for the roles at New Park, Holycroft and Park Wood Schools, which will be appointed in May.  You can register your interest in the role at Meadow Bank Community School for a forthcoming recruitment process.

All the provisions will specialise in supporting children with Communication and Interaction (C&I) special needs.  Together they will provide a strong professional network of Specialist Leads and teams, working collaboratively to develop excellence across the Trust as a whole.

NSAT is a Trust of 15 schools, primary and secondary, across West and North Yorkshire.  You can find out more about our schools from our Trust website.
