Become a Governor

Thinking of becoming a school governor? We want to hear from you!

NSAT’s mission is ‘to nurture learning in a sustainable environment so that our whole community can thrive, aspire and succeed'. Our governors are a fundamental part of that mission, ensuring that our schools offer high quality provision for each and every learner.

We are always on the lookout for new governors, to join over 70 already carrying out brilliant work in support of our schools, headteachers and Trust.

Do you have…

  • a passion for learning and self-development?
  • …the time and capacity to commit to six meetings per year?
  • …a willingness to take on responsibility, support our schools and hold them to account for delivering excellent education?

To be a governor, there is no requirement to have a formal qualification, and you do not need to be a parent or carer connected to a school.

In fact, it is really important that our governors offer a wide range of experiences and perspectives to the schools that they support. NSAT is particularly keen to ensure that our governing bodies represent and champion the diversity of our school communities.
